Our diverse range of programs—from hands-on apprenticeships to digital literacy and career development—ensures that every learner can find the path that leads to a brighter future.
Apprenticeship Programs
Electrical Apprenticeship
This four-year program offers a combination of classroom instruction and on-the-job training, preparing students for a successful career as licensed electricians.
Plumbing Apprenticeship
This four-year program combines practical experience with classroom instruction, leading to eligibility for the Journeyman Plumbing License.
Residential Construction Apprenticeship Program (RCAP)
This 18-month program prepares apprentices for a wide range of opportunities in residential construction.
Specialized Training Programs
Pharmacy Technician
Prepare for a rewarding career in the healthcare field with our Pharmacy Technician program. This 8-12 week course, consisting of 80% online learning and 20% in-class lab work, equips students to earn their pharmacy technician license and work in various pharmacy settings.
Educational Paraprofessional
This six-week course, offered in collaboration with Fort Smith Public Schools, prepares students for the ETS Praxis exam with focused instruction in Reading for Information, Writing for the Workplace, and Applied Mathematics. The course includes job shadowing for practical experience.
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
Earn your Heart-code BLS certification through the American Heart Association with this two-day course, equipping you with essential life-saving skills.
Essential Skills Development
Digital Literacy Classes
Our Essentials I and II courses cover a range of computer skills, from basic functions to advanced capabilities like online job searching, resume building, and proficiency in Microsoft and Google Suites.
Basic Skills
These classes are designed to help adults improve foundational skills in reading and math, providing the tools needed to advance academically and professionally.
Career Pathways
This course is tailored to enhance employability through soft skills training, resume writing, mock interviews, and financial and digital literacy.
Workforce Alliance for Growth in the Economy (WAGE)
Focused on job readiness, this program assists students in securing and retaining employment through job searching, resume building, interview skills, and career exploration.
Family Literacy
This program supports families with children in Pre-K through 5th grade by enhancing parents' literacy, communication skills, and understanding of community resources.
GED Program
Prepare for the GED with classes that cover Reasoning through Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, and Math. An Express program is available for those who qualify. Official GED testing costs $4.00 per test; ask about vouchers when scheduling!

If you have taken the GED test in Arkansas and wish to have an official copy of your scores mailed to a college/institution, employer, agency, or yourself, you now have three options:
- The quickest way is to fill out an online request form: Click the link HERE to complete the Official GED score report request.
- You may print an Authorization to Release Form, located at the link above, and send your signed request by mail to the following address: Arkansas GED Testing Office; Adult Education Section; Division of Workforce Services; 1 Commerce Way, Suite 202; Little Rock, Arkansas, 72202
- You also have the option to scan and email your signed request to GED@arkansas.gov
Additional Learning Opportunities
Distance Education
For students seeking flexibility, this course allows additional study opportunities online after completing a minimum of six hours of classes at the Center.
English as a Learned Language (ELL)
Designed for non-native English speakers over 18, our ELL classes improve communication skills and assist in adapting to life in the U.S.
U.S. Citizenship
Our Civics class helps students prepare for the U.S. Citizenship and Naturalization process.
